Condo soundproofing options?
Monday, May 14th, 2007This post has absolutely nothing to do with web development, but I have been looking into soundproofing options for a condo. There is a significant amount of impact noise from upstairs neighbors and I have been looking into a variety of options. Floating ceilings, soundproofing materials, double drywall, dense drywall, etc. etc.
Ideally the initial cost outlay would be small to make sure it works…especially since the condo is on the bottom floor so the soundproofing will be on the ceiling. Not ideal, but you have to deal with the cards you are dealt.
This weekend I stumbled across a product called Green Glue. They have an adhesive product and double drywall method that looks promising. Here is their official Green Glue site.
Does anyone have any experience with their product? Does it do what it claims to do?

Have you soundproofed via another method with success?
